چکیده
The experiment was conducted in a field belonging to Ibn Al-Baytar Vocational Preparatory School, located in Kerbala/Al-Husayniyah District, during the 2024-2025 growing season to study the effect of foliar spraying with boron and sorbitol on improving some growth, yield, and quality indicators of carrot plants (Daucus carota L.) cv. Nantes. The experiment was carried out according to a randomized complete block design (RCBD) with a factorial arrangement and three replications. The first factor was boron spraying at three concentrations (0, 50, and 100 mg L⁻¹). The second factor was sorbitol spraying at four concentrations (0, 20, 30, and 40 g L⁻¹). The results showed significant differences among boron spray concentrations. Treatment B₂ (100 mg L⁻¹) was superior in plant height (38.40 cm), leaf area (26.51 dm²), total chlorophyll concentration (3.36 mg g⁻¹ FW), root length (18.09 cm), total yield (30.35 t ha⁻¹), beta-carotene content (2.67 mg g⁻¹ FW), and root sugar content (1.93 mg g⁻¹ FW). In contrast, treatment B₁ (50 mg L⁻¹) was superior in root diameter (30.64 mm). The results also showed significant differences among sorbitol spray concentrations, with treatment S₃ (40 g L⁻¹) being superior in plant height (39.36 cm), leaf area (23.80 dm²), chlorophyll concentration (3.43 mg g⁻¹ FW), root length (18.17 cm), root diameter (33.22 mm), total yield (31.30 t ha⁻¹), beta-carotene content (2.76 mg g⁻¹ FW), and root sugar content (2.07 mg g⁻¹ FW). Regarding the interaction between factors, treatment B₂S₃ was superior, confirming the effectiveness
