Announcement Regarding the Submission of English Versions of Articles
Bilingual Publication Policy – Persian Version of Record
Dear Authors,
In alignment with the updated editorial policies of the Journal of Food Science and Technology (Iran) and to fulfill the requirements of international indexing systems (including Scopus, AGRIS, ISI, and other reputable databases), the journal publishes all accepted articles in a bilingual format (Persian–English), effective from 28 May 2023 (1402/03/28).
1. Version of Record
The Persian version of the article is considered the official Version of Record of the journal. The English version is published solely to facilitate international indexing and enhance global accessibility.
2. Responsibility for Translation
Iranian Authors:
Following final acceptance, Iranian authors are required to prepare an accurate English translation of the finalized Persian version of their manuscript. Upon submitting the final files for copyediting and online publication, authors must provide both the Persian and English versions to the journal.
Non-Iranian Authors:
For manuscripts submitted by non-Iranian authors, the English version serves as the primary submission. The Persian translation will be prepared by the journal’s expert translation team.
3. Editorial Quality Control
Both the Persian and English versions will be subjected to rigorous editorial quality control to ensure:
• Consistency in structure, tables, figures, references, and ethical statements.
• Accuracy and precision of the translation.
• Complete alignment of metadata across both versions.
4. DOI and Metadata
Both the Persian and English versions of an article will share a single Digital Object Identifier (DOI), and all associated metadata will be registered in a fully synchronized manner to prevent any discrepancies.
5. Correction Procedure
Should any inconsistencies be identified post-publication, corrections will be implemented through the journal’s official correction procedure. Authors are required to formally report any potential discrepancies to the editorial office.
6. Translation Fees
Iranian Authors:
If Iranian authors prefer not to prepare the English translation independently, the journal’s expert team can provide professional translation services. The associated fees for the English translation will be borne by the authors.
Non-Iranian Authors:
Translation services for non-Iranian authors are provided free of charge by the journal.
