Bilingual Publication Policy – Persian Version of Record
Dear Authors,In line with the new editorial policy of the Iranian Journal of Food Science and Technology and considering the requirements of international indexing systems (Scopus, AGRIS, ISI, and other reputable databases), the journal publishes all accepted articles in a bilingual format (Persian–English) as of 28 May 2023 (1402/03/28).
1-Version of Record
The Persian version of the article is considered the official Version of Record of the journal.The English version is published solely for the purpose of international indexing and global accessibility.
2- Responsibility for Translation
Iranian Authors:
After final acceptance, Iranian authors are required to prepare an accurate English translation of the final Persian version of their article. At the time of submitting the final version for editing and online publication, authors must provide both versions (Persian and English) to the journal.
Non‑Iranian Authors:
For manuscripts submitted by non‑Iranian authors, the English version serves as the primary submission. The Persian translation will be prepared by the journal’s expert team.The translated version will be sent to the author for final approval and, after confirmation, will undergo editorial quality control before publication.
3- Editorial Quality Control
Both the Persian and English versions will be reviewed under editorial quality control to ensure:
Consistency in structure, tables, figures, references, and statements
Accuracy and precision of translation
Complete alignment of metadata across both versions
4-DOI and Metadata
Both the Persian and English versions will share a single DOI, and all metadata will be registered in a fully synchronized manner to prevent any discrepancies.
5-Correction Procedure
If any inconsistencies are identified after publication, corrections will be made through the journal’s official correction process. Authors are required to formally report any potential discrepancies.
6- Translation Fees
Iranian Authors:
If Iranian authors prefer not to prepare the English translation themselves, the journal’s expert team can provide translation services.The translation fee for the English version will be borne by the authors.
Non‑Iranian Authors:
Translation services for non‑Iranian authors will be provided free of charge by the journal
