Abstract

The present work aims to study and analyze the advent of new middle class in Iran via discussing lifestyle indexes in the first Pahlavi press. The main questions of this article are: How can we describe and analyze the advent of new middle class and its related lifestyle via press study? What are the elements and indexes of new middle class lifestyle in the first Pahlavi era? To carry out my research in this direction, I plan to employ historical and content analysis methods and analyze four significant press of that time (“Alame Nesvan”, “Baladiye”, “Shafaghe Sorkh” and, “tajadode Iran”).
Based on the findings of my research, new middle class members in the first Pahlavi era have their own distinctive lifestyle which is reflected in the different press. The review of these press indicates individualism, consumerism, considering body and its manipulation, highlighting leisure time in the daily life and, cultural consumerism as the most crucial elements of new middle class lifestyle in the first Pahlavi era.

Abstract

In this article, a famous sonnet by Hafez is briefly analyzed based on Van Dijk's (professor of discourse analysis) ideological square & Based on some discursive factors, it is analyzed and interpreted in terms of form and content and it is analyzed how Hafez highlighted the positive characteristics of "we" (Hafez, mystics) while writing a lyric. And he has distinguished the negative characteristics of "others" (the kings). And he has shown the negative qualities of "self" and the positive qualities of "others" and he shows that they are less important. These four cases are the basic cases of Van Dijk's theory in the analysis of texts and speeches. The main goal of this research is to know more about the moral and social views of Hafez and his time through the poems that From the point of view of the theory of critical discourse analysis, it has been evaluated.
The method of this research is descriptive-analytical (qualitative) and its data was collected using the library method. Among the results of the current research is this that by introducing the linguistic and rhetorical methods of Hafez & in expressing moral and critical issues, his great human and social concerns should be introduced. In this way, Hafez has expressed his critical discourse by using direct and indirect expression, and by using appropriate vocabulary and syntax and rhetorical ironics. He criticizes us by highlighting our positive qualities such as avoiding bad language and prejudice and avoiding wrongdoing, and he has talked about the negative characteristics of others such as saying bad things and hearing bad things, thinking bad things and slandering.

Abstract

Advanced glycation end products (AGEs) are a group of compounds formed during the Maillard reaction, which can have adverse effects. This study aims to investigate the formation of fluorescent AGEs using the response surface method (RSM). Factors such as protein type ((whey protein 2.0, 3.5, and 5.0 %w/v) and casein (1.0, 2.0, and 3.0 %w/v)), three types sugar ((glucose and frouctose (0.2, 0.6, and 1.0 M) and lactose (0.1, 0.3, and 0.5 M)), and pomegranate peel (PPE) concentration (250.0, 500.0, and 750.0 ppm) along with their interactions are analyzed. The results of this study showed that, the type of protein, type of sugar, and concentration of phenolic extract from pomegranate peel were effective in preventing the formation of AGEs, and the pomegranate peel extract (specially at 750.0 ppm) was able to effectively prevent glycation reaction. According to the results, protein type and concentration significantly influence AGEs formation. The inhibitory activity of the extract in the model system containing casein was lower than the system containing whey protein, and overall, the inhibitory power decreased with an increase in protein concentration. By changing the type of sugar present in the model system, the inhibitory behavior of the pomegranate peel extract became complex, showing increased, decreased, or no effect in some cases. Further investigations can suggest the use of this extract, especially in the formulation of food products, including infant formulas.

Abstract

The purpose of this study is to provide a paradigmatic and systematic model for developing Iran’s science diplomacy, based on capabilities of the Imam Sadiq University and prioritizing its strategies. This study is based on data-driven management strategy and according to systematic approach of Strauss and Corbin wants in order to obtain paradigmatic model of the Science Diplomacy development and by using IPA methodology, has prioritized its strategies. For this purpose, 18 professors, experts and professionals of science diplomacy at the Imam Sadiq(AS) University have been identified and interviewed. At the next stage, by processing data and concepts, Level 1 and Level 2 concepts of the paradigmatic model have been obtained. At the next step, the strategies were prioritized using the opinions of 15 persons priorly selected as the sample. According to taken steps, it has become clear that moving towards the development of science diplomacy at the Imam Sadiq(AS) University due to its dynamic capabilities needs special qualifications and factors and special delicacies in its designs and plans. Some of results of implementing the science diplomacy at the Human Sciences Universities are as follows: enhancing the capabilities of the university, strengthening the international position of the Islamic Republic of Iran, dealing with the dysfunctions of the science diplomacy at the Human Sciences Universities and fulfilling the mission of the Islamic Republic of Iran towards the poor people of Muslim world. The "university internationalization" strategy also has the highest priority among the proposed strategies.

Abstract

Cheetah is one of the endangered wildlife species in different countries around the world, including Iran, and has been included in the International Union for Conservation of Nature (IUCN) Red List of Threatened Species. Today, Iran is the only place where Asiatic Cheetahs can be found, and the latest estimates indicate that only 30 to 40 Asiatic Cheetahs remain. The present study aimed to prioritize the ecosystem functions and services for Asiatic Cheetahs in Iran from the perspectives of experts and professionals. After a literature review, based on the 2018 Common International Classification of Ecosystem Services (CICES), among Provisioning, Cultural, and Regulation and Maintenance functions, the Cultural and Regulation and Maintenance functions and 14 services were extracted for Asiatic Cheetahs in Iran. Next, by using the Analytic Hierarchy Process (AHP) and the Delphi method, the priority of functions and services was investigated in two stages. The results showed that the most important functions and services were, respectively, as follows: Cultural (4.37), Regulation and Maintenance (4.32) functions, and services related to the Bequest value (4.95) of Asiatic Cheetahs; Existence value (4.93); Educational (4.58); Aesthetic (4.47); Entertainment (recreation and ecotourism) (4.44); Symbolic (4.40); Scientific (3.67), Cultural (3.55), Biodiversity (4.82); and Disease control (3.82). The necessary measures for preventing the extinction of Asiatic Cheetahs include the construction of wildlife corridors in habitats of Cheetahs, promoting participation of communities and non-governmental organizations in the sustainable management of Cheetah habitats, and designing coins with Cheetah to attract public attention and support.
